Description
The two bacteria that show water has been contaminated by sewage, slurry or animal waste. The lowest-cost way to check a well for faecal contamination, or to recheck one after treatment.

How it works
- Take the sample and send it back the same day by Express Post, or drop it to the lab in Drogheda. It must reach the lab within 24 hours, so sample Monday to Wednesday.
- If E. coli is found, Fitz Scientific contacts you before testing is finished
- Your Certificate of Analysis is emailed to you, with a guide to reading it
- Analysed by Fitz Scientific, Drogheda
- INAB-accredited lab, ISO 17025

Fitz Scientific posts the kit to you within 2 working days, with gloves and clear instructions.

Take the sample
Most samples come from the cold kitchen tap. Take it on the day you send it back.

Send it the same day
Express Post or drop it to the lab in Drogheda. It has to arrive within 24 hours, so sample Monday to Wednesday.

Get your certificate
Emailed to you with a sheet explaining the results. Bacteria found? You hear sooner.
The test fee comes off your install
If the results show something that needs treating and we supply and fit it within 90 days of your order, we take the full price of this test off the job. Quote your test order number when you book.
Who analyses your water
Fitz Scientific, an independent laboratory in Drogheda, accredited by INAB (the Irish National Accreditation Board) to ISO 17025. We don't test water ourselves: you get an impartial result, and if it shows a problem, our plumbers fix it.
Accredited results are marked on the certificate.
