AquaSilk water softeners, fitted by CPS Plumbing & Electrical

Clonmel's supply mixes soft hill water with hard limestone borehole water, and the hard side of town shows it on every kettle. We supply and fit AquaSilk softeners across south Tipperary with our own technicians.
From €549 supply only, or €899 fitted in Clonmel.
10-year parts warranty with annual service.
Type your Eircode and your area's hardness reading appears right here, with a straight answer on whether a softener is worth it for you.
That doesn't look like an Irish Eircode. The first three characters are enough, e.g. E91.
Readings are from Uisce Éireann supply-zone data. Just the first three characters will do, and we don't store your Eircode.
“Our entire home is now limescale free, which has made such a noticeable impact.”M.C., Google reviewRead the reviews
Clonmel is an odd one, and worth explaining. The town sits on the Suir with the Comeraghs behind it, and its public supply has always been a mix: upland stream water from the hills, which is soft, and borehole water from the limestone of the Suir valley, which is hard. Which one reaches your tap depends on where in the town you are and which part of the network is feeding you that week. The regional figure for Tipperary is around 235 mg/L of calcium carbonate, which is hard, and the borehole-fed parts of Clonmel run harder than that.
The practical test is the kettle. If yours has a white floor and the shower screen never comes clean, you are on the hard side of the town and a softener will earn its keep. If you are not sure, put your Eircode into the checker above, or ring us and describe what you are seeing.
Most of what we fit around Clonmel is family homes in Glenconnor, Cashel Road, Heywood, Marlfield and the estates off the Cahir and Fethard roads, usually four or five people and two bathrooms. That is AquaSilk Midi territory, with the Maxi for five or more. Apartments and smaller houses in the town suit the Mini. The size picker below marks the right one.
Between Clonmel, Cahir, Fethard, Kilsheelan and Carrick-on-Suir a lot of houses are on their own borehole in the Suir valley limestone. The water is hard and can carry iron, manganese or bacteria that a softener alone will not deal with. We send a sample to an accredited lab and specify the system off the results. See our well water treatment page.
We fit nationwide with our own technicians, and Clonmel, Cahir, Carrick-on-Suir, Fethard, Cashel and Tipperary town are covered on the same run through south Tipperary. Order the softener fitted online or ring us, send a photo of your stop valve and the space beside it, and we book a slot. Two to three hours and you have soft water. Water softener and drinking tap done yesterday by an absolute gentlemen named Iggy, he was efficient, tidy, clean and punctual, called me before hand to let me know roughly time arrives, did the job really professional, we would highly recommend the company and Iggy.
The difference in the water quality is amazing — softer water throughout the house and great-tasting drinking water straight from the tap. I'm very happy with both the products and the workmanship. Highly recommend EcoFilter Ireland to anyone thinking about improving their water quality!
We went for the complete setup: a whole house water softener, the Aplos Angel Direct Flow reverse osmosis drinking water system, and a spray hose triflow tap—and the difference has been amazing. Our entire home is now limescale free, which has made such a noticeable impact.
Anything else, ring 01 554 6266 or email info@ecofilter.ie. You'll get a plumber, not a call centre.
Send us your Eircode and a photo of where the mains comes into the house. We'll come back with the right size, what it'll cost fitted, and whether a softener is even the right answer for your water.
