AquaSilk water softeners, fitted by CPS Plumbing & Electrical

Tipperary is limestone country and its water is hard from Clonmel to Nenagh. We supply and fit AquaSilk softeners across the county with our own plumbers.
From €549 supply only, or €899 fitted in Co. Tipperary.
10-year parts warranty with annual service.
Type your Eircode and your area's hardness reading appears right here, with a straight answer on whether a softener is worth it for you.
That doesn't look like an Irish Eircode. The first three characters are enough, e.g. E41.
Readings are from Uisce Éireann supply-zone data. Just the first three characters will do, and we don't store your Eircode.

Most of Tipperary sits on limestone, from the Suir valley in the south to the plains around Thurles and Nenagh in the north. Public supplies come from the Suir, from springs and from boreholes in that rock, so the water is hard across most of the county. Thurles is around 235 mg/L of calcium carbonate on Uisce Éireann's figures, and our regional figure for Clonmel and Nenagh is about the same. Around Clonmel, softer upland water from the Comeraghs is mixed in, so readings move about. Put your own Eircode into the checker for your street.
At that hardness, immersion elements, electric showers and combi boilers scale up and wear out early. A whole-house softener on the incoming mains stops it.
Each of these has its own page with the local reading and supply:
We also fit in Tipperary town, Fethard, Borrisokane, Newport and Ballina, and anywhere else in the county.
On hard water like this the AquaSilk Midi is the usual fit for a three or four bed family home with two bathrooms. The Mini suits apartments, couples and smaller houses and fits under a kitchen sink. The Maxi is for big houses with three or more bathrooms. The size picker below marks the right one for your household.
A lot of rural Tipperary houses are on their own well. Well water here is usually hard, but it can also carry iron, manganese or bacteria that a softener on its own will not touch. For a well we send a sample to an accredited lab and specify the system off the results. See our well water treatment page.
Every install is done by our own plumbers, not a subcontractor. Order the softener fitted online or ring us, send a photo of your stop valve and the space beside it, and we book a morning or afternoon slot. Two to three hours and you have soft water, with the first salt in the tank. For a price first, use the quote form. The full range and the Ireland-wide hardness chart are on our main water softener page.
Bigger house, more people or very hard water means a bigger tank. Tell us the household and we'll mark the right one for a Co. Tipperary home.
How many people live in the house?

8 litre resin. One to three people, one or two bathrooms.

14 litre resin. Four or five people, up to three bathrooms.

21 litre resin. Six or more people, large or multi-bathroom houses.
Fitted price covers the trip to Co. Tipperary, the install, connection to your mains and drain, commissioning and a first fill of salt. Humm interest-free finance available at checkout. Free delivery on supply-only orders.
We fit what we sell. The people who quote it are the people who plumb it in and come back to service it.

We call within three working days to book a slot and ask for a photo of your stop valve and the space beside it. If it can't be fitted, we say so before anyone drives to Co. Tipperary and refund the installation charge.

Water softener and drinking tap done yesterday by an absolute gentlemen named Iggy, he was efficient, tidy, clean and punctual, called me before hand to let me know roughly time arrives, did the job really professional, we would highly recommend the company and Iggy.
The difference in the water quality is amazing — softer water throughout the house and great-tasting drinking water straight from the tap. I'm very happy with both the products and the workmanship. Highly recommend EcoFilter Ireland to anyone thinking about improving their water quality!
We went for the complete setup: a whole house water softener, the Aplos Angel Direct Flow reverse osmosis drinking water system, and a spray hose triflow tap—and the difference has been amazing. Our entire home is now limescale free, which has made such a noticeable impact.
Anything else, ring 01 554 6266 or email info@ecofilter.ie. You'll get a plumber, not a call centre.
Send us your Eircode and a photo of where the mains comes into the house. We'll come back with the right size, what it'll cost fitted, and whether a softener is even the right answer for your water.
