Description
The full audit monitoring list from the European Union (Drinking Water) Regulations 2023, over 80 parameters in one go. For businesses, food producers, schools, group schemes and anyone who has to show a supply meets every limit, not just the everyday ones.
What it tests
- Bacteria: E. coli, total coliforms, enterococci, Clostridium perfringens, total bacteria count at 22°C
- Metals: aluminium, antimony, arsenic, boron, cadmium, chromium, copper, iron, lead, manganese, mercury, nickel, selenium, sodium
- Chemistry: ammonium, nitrate, nitrite, chloride, sulphate, fluoride, bromate, cyanide, TOC, pH, conductivity
- Solvents and by-products: 1,2-dichloroethane, benzene, tetrachloroethene and trichloroethene, vinyl chloride, acrylamide, epichlorohydrin, trihalomethanes (chloroform, bromoform, bromodichloromethane, dibromochloromethane)
- PAHs: benzo(a)pyrene, benzo(b)fluoranthene, benzo(k)fluoranthene, benzo(g,h,i)perylene, indeno(1,2,3-cd)pyrene
- Pesticides: over 30, including glyphosate, MCPA, 2,4-D, mecoprop, clopyralid, atrazine, simazine, triclopyr and total pesticides
- Appearance: colour, turbidity, taste, odour
In the kit
Twelve sample bottles, gloves and step-by-step sampling instructions.
How long it takes
- Take the samples and return them to the lab the same day. They must reach the lab within 24 hours, so sample Monday to Wednesday.
- If bacteria are found you're told by email within 3 days
- Your full Certificate of Analysis is emailed within 10 working days, with a guide to reading it
Cyanide and epichlorohydrin are sent by Fitz Scientific to a partner laboratory. This self-sample kit can't be used for a private well grant application: order the Well Grant Water Test for that.

Take the sample
Most samples come from the cold kitchen tap. Take it on the day you send it back.

Send it the same day
Express Post or drop it to the lab in Drogheda. It has to arrive within 24 hours, so sample Monday to Wednesday.

Get your certificate
Emailed to you with a sheet explaining the results. Bacteria found? You hear sooner.
The test fee comes off your install
If the results show something that needs treating and we supply and fit it within 90 days of your order, we take the full price of this test off the job. Quote your test order number when you book.
Who analyses your water
Fitz Scientific, an independent laboratory in Drogheda, accredited by INAB (the Irish National Accreditation Board) to ISO 17025. We don't test water ourselves: you get an impartial result, and if it shows a problem, our plumbers fix it.
Accredited results are marked on the certificate.
