Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a three-way tap?
No. The Urban Spout™ is a standard mixer tap (hot & cold). We connect a carbon filter to the mains cold supply feeding the tap, so your cold water is filtered at the sink.
What does the carbon filter remove?
The carbon cartridge is designed to help reduce chlorine, sediment, bad taste and odour so your kitchen tap water tastes much better for drinking and cooking.
Does this soften hard water?
No – this is a carbon filter, not a water softener. It improves taste and odour but does not remove limescale.
How long does installation take?
Most installs take around 1.5–2 hours, depending on access and existing pipework under the sink.
How often do I replace the filter?
Typically every 6–12 months, depending on usage and water quality. We can supply replacement cartridges when needed.
