Do you provide the installation or do I need to hire a plumber?
Our in house plumbers provide the installation in most counties across Ireland. You can choose to purchase the softener with or without professional installation
Where do you install the system?
The system is installed as close as possible to where the mains water pipe enters your home. This is typically under the kitchen sink or in a nearby utility room or press. It's important to note that the customer must provide the 3 pin socket or extension accessory to plug the softener in.
How much salt will it use?
Salt usage depends on your water hardness and how many people are in the home. As a guide, our Premium Clack softener uses only about 1 bag of salt every 1-2 months for a family of 4. Our Aquasilk models use slightly more.
Can I drink softened water?
It is perfectly safe to drink. However, the softening process replaces hard minerals (calcium) with sodium. While the amount is very small, we recommend a separate hard water tap for drinking, which is standard practice. Many customers bundle a drinking water filter system with their softener for the ultimate setup.
What if I pay for an installation and the softener doesn't fit?
It's simple, we will contact you by phone for a quick consultation, you will be asked to provide a picture of where your mains shut off valve is located in the property. We also need to see the space you have etc. Normally pictures would be sent via Whatsapp or email
