Returns & Refunds

We keep returns simple. Here's what you're entitled to and how it works.

1. Changed your mind? 14-day right to cancel

If you bought online and the goods haven't been installed by us, you have 14 days from the day you receive your order to tell us you want to return it — no reason needed. You then have a further 14 days to get it back to us.

• Goods must be unused, in their original packaging and in resaleable condition.
• Return postage is at your cost. We can arrange a courier collection for you and deduct the collection charge from your refund — just ask.
• We'll refund the full price of the goods, including standard delivery, within 14 days of receiving them back, to the original payment method.
• If goods come back used, damaged or with parts missing, we may reduce the refund to cover the loss in value.

2. What can't be returned for change of mind

• Installed systems. Once our technician has fitted a softener, filter or tap, the installation service has been carried out and the system can't be returned for change of mind. Faults are covered under section 3.
• Opened consumables — filter cartridges, RO membranes, resin, salt and similar — for hygiene reasons, unless faulty.
• Special orders made to your specification.

3. Faulty or damaged goods

Your statutory rights under Irish and EU consumer law apply on top of anything above. If a product is faulty, not as described or arrives damaged:

• Tell us as soon as you can at info@ecofilter.ie or 01 554 6266 with your order number and a photo if possible.
• We'll repair or replace it. If that isn't possible, or a replacement has the same fault, we'll refund you.
• Return costs for faulty goods are on us — we'll arrange the collection.
• Installed systems that develop a fault are covered by the product warranty and our callout service. If our technician attends and finds the system working correctly and correctly used, a callout charge may apply.

4. How to return something

1. Email info@ecofilter.ie with your order number and the reason for the return.
2. We'll confirm and either send you the return address or book a courier collection (Monday to Friday, 10am–4pm).
3. Pack the item in its original packaging and have it ready for collection.
4. Refunds are issued within 14 days of the goods arriving back with us.

Please note

The colour of plastic mouldings and the branding on cartridges may vary between batches. The filtration media is always NSF-certified. Variations in colour or branding aren't grounds for return.
